In my project, I described how chaos is involved with different natural disasters. The examples I looked at were turbulence within the Earth's crust that causes earthquakes, flooding patterns in Southern China, and hurricane statistics.

This presentation was very informative. The sandpile example was very interesting and reminiscent of the classroom chaos we did. Chaos, I believe, could be used to model natural disasters, howwever, I am still skeptical on its ability to predict there occurrence.
